Dear Skincare Fiend, I'm so confused. I mean, I don't want to feel dirty, but won't soap dry my skin? Am I condemned to a life of dewey filth? I've used cleansers before, but they leave my face is so dry it feels like the Bonneville Salt Flats, and I need to moisturize it right away. Please help me understand how to be clean without drying out my skin. Can you tell me:
- If i should wash my face?
- When I should wash my face?
- What can i use for clean skin that won't leave my face as dry as the Bonneville Salt Flats?
Dear Confused,
-
Yes! But let’s call it CLEANSING your face :)
-
In the evening or when you are in for the rest of the day. Wash that day off!
-
You have two choices…
-
Use a natural creamy cleanser like Essance Revitalizing Cleanser with water - get hands wet with warm water, pump some cleanser into your hands, gently rub all over your face, rinse off hands, soak a washcloth with warm water and wipe off the cleanser. If you are in the shower or don’t mind the splatter splash the water on your face to rinse this cleanser off.
-
Do an oil cleanse (sf Macadamia Nut Oil) rub oil all over your face, get a washcloth wet with warm water, lay it on your face, breathe and let it melt the oil then wipe off the oil.
-
If you have makeup on, double cleanse. Twice with either product or first with oil to better remove the makeup (including mascara and eye makeup) and second with a natural creamy cleanser.
